Michelle Stephens MSc CMIOSH

Michelle Stephens is a highly skilled safety investigator trained to MSc level at Cranfield University and specialises in conducting incident investigations and delivering IOSH approved rail incident investigation training courses. The only one of its kind in the UK. As an experienced Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, Michelle has been operating in the rail industry at senior management level in both corporate and operational health and safety, for more than 30 years.

Michelle also offers professional safety advisory and consultancy services.

Michelle studied for and achieved her Degree of Master of Science in Safety and Accident Investigation (Rail Transport) at Cranfield University between 2017 and 2021. She has also achieved the Award in Education and Training in 2018.

30 years operational rail experience including track renewals, signalling, light rail, major projects, alliancing, heavy plant, overhead line, and low voltage/high voltage systems.

Highly skilled safety investigator, trained to MSc level in Safety and Accident Investigation (Rail Transport), at Cranfield University. At the time, Michelle was the first female to be awarded this qualification in the UK.
